On 28 September, Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) attributed to Sheikh Ali al-Asadi, head of Nujaba’s Political Council, the statement that the justifications for resistance would end if Iraq could govern itself and U.S. interference in its decisions stopped. It also quoted him calling for Iraq to be free in its political, security and economic decisions.
