Saudi attack reporting lands inside AAH's own channel

CNN reported late on 6 August that Saudi Arabia is preparing for attacks on ports and airports by Iraqi militias working with Iran-backed Houthis. Within about twenty minutes, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official armed-group channel relayed that report by name, and shortly after midnight the same channel carried a statement attributed to the spokesperson for the commander of the Iraqi forces saying a security plan had begun to abort a possible attack on Saudi Arabia. Two independent lines therefore exist — outside press reporting and an Iraqi official statement relayed by a faction channel — but neither identifies a perpetrator, and no Iraqi faction claimed responsibility for anything.
