On 7 September, Al-Araby reported that Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada would not surrender its weapons before unspecified conditions were implemented. Alsumaria subsequently characterized positions from Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada and Nujaba as “no commitment and no surrender,” but did not reproduce direct statements, identify speakers or state the conditions.
