On 12 October, Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official owned media) described PMF personnel’s rights as awaiting legislation and promoted a discussion of the law’s stalled passage through parliament. Former MP and Hikma National Movement leader Hassan Fad’am said the law was an Iraqi matter in which no external party had the right to intervene. The programme also featured parliamentary Security and Defence Committee member Khalid Sido and Sadiqoun general-body member Israa Najm al-Hujaimi (AAH).
