On 6 September, Al-Asas Parliamentary Bloc head Alaa al-Haidari, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), said the PMF in Basra had been warned before a Saudi attack and that blood shed in the Saudi aggression must not pass peacefully. Minutes later, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) attributed to al-Ubaidi, whose role it did not state, a claim that warning messages arrived before the PMF was targeted, failure to report them was a catastrophe and “the right to respond is guaranteed.” Neither caption produced the alleged warnings or evidence for the Saudi attribution.
