WHAT HAPPENED

On 6 September, political researcher Kamel al-Kanani told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that “we gave 20 martyrs days ago,” resistance weapons had defended the state, faction weapons were the best weapons and the United States could not dictate compliance. On the same programme, Reconstruction and Development Coalition political-bureau member Khalid Waleed acknowledged weapons outside state control, proposed turning factions into a special force or containing them through another arrangement, and said neither factions nor the state wanted confrontation. No casualty names, location, incident or faction were provided for al-Kanani’s claim.

  1. Al-Ahad TVAAH — official06 Sept, 22:55

Iraq is experiencing security gaps, and we gave 20 martyrs days ago... the resistance’s weapons defended the state... faction weapons are the best weapons... America is not God for us to comply with its vision.

  2. Al-Ahad TVAAH — official06 Sept, 22:55

Weapons outside the state framework exist and are real... the factions could become a special force or be contained in some arrangement... the factions are not a state parallel to the state, and no side is inclined toward confrontation.

السلاح خارج اطار الدولة متواجد وحقيقي... الفصائل قد تتحول الى قوة خاصة او احتوائها بشكل معين... الفصائل ليست دولة بموازاة دولة ولا يوجد طرف يميل الى الصدام

WHY IT MATTERS

Compared with al-Kanani’s categorical defence of faction weapons, Waleed’s special-force option places institutional containment inside the same AAH media discussion.
