On 1 November, Mustafa Rustam, former head of the Central and Western Syria Council’s political office, told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) that al-Sharaa’s authorities provided a conducive environment for Israeli movements in southern Syria. He also alleged that al-Sharaa was a principal partner in a project to partition Syria.
