Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein told his Saudi counterpart he had presented the Iraqi government's policy of restricting weapons to the state; Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) reported the line straight in the late afternoon of 5 August. Within half an hour Sabereen News (KH — affiliated media) reposted the same quote with the gloss "your hell has drawn near", and by early evening Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) aired analyst Salah al-Amshani saying the Foreign Ministry "does not represent Iraqis", under a strap describing wide anger at the minister's meeting for overlooking Riyadh's aggression against the Popular Mobilization Forces. The rung is credible: three channels across two actors carry the same subject in one window and the wordings are on the record.
