The afternoon's traffic in the militia channels turned almost entirely onto Saudi Arabia, and the instrument was parliamentary paper. Al-Ittijah TV, Kataib Hezbollah's official outlet, published a scanned letter dated 1 August from Hoquq bloc MP Saud al-Saadi to the prime minister, demanding to know what legal steps the government is taking to recover Iraqi ownership of the oil pipeline crossing Saudi Arabia and whether Baghdad will seek compensation from Riyadh for Saudi use of the line, with a fifteen-day reply deadline. Two hours later Al-Nujaba TV, the official channel of the Nujaba Movement, and Unit 10,000, a Kataib Hezbollah-affiliated channel, posted near-identical lines on the same demand, naming the line as Zubair–Khreis–Yanbu and attaching a scanned document whose visible date read as 1 August 2023 in one image and 1 August 2017 in the other. No government reply appears in the collected material, no Iraqi institution or MP has publicly claimed the second inquiry, and the document's provenance is not established.
In parliament, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official Al-Ahad TV ran a continuous stream of items through the afternoon setting out the Sadiqoun bloc's response to what it calls "Saudi-American aggression" against Popular Mobilization Forces headquarters — the strikes that faction channels attributed overnight to the United States and Saudi Arabia. Between 15:36 and 17:30 the channel published parliamentary questions to the prime minister on sovereignty and government measures, to the defence minister on air defences and the protection of military headquarters, to the finance minister on air-defence allocations and victim compensation, to the foreign minister on a Security Council complaint, and to the health minister on a central medical cell for the wounded and blood-donation drives, plus a letter to bloc heads requesting an emergency session. The submissions carry Council of Representatives letterhead, seals and a bloc reference number, and one item added that signatures were being collected to interrogate the foreign minister.
No state acknowledgement of receipt and no reporting outside the militia channels on the submissions appears in the material; Al-Nujaba TV in the same window carried only a single undefined call for a response, and no Badr channel carried a position on the incident.
The same demand crossed network lines earlier in the day. At 13:26 Al-Ahad TV carried Foreign Relations Committee member Mukhtar al-Moussawi saying that failure to summon the Saudi ambassador shows disrespect for Iraqi citizens and PMF and security personnel, and that parliamentary signatures exist to host Iraq's security leaders in parliament; thirteen minutes later Kataib Hezbollah's Unit 10,000 posted substantially identical wording without naming him. By evening Al-Ahad TV was pressing the same point through guests: political analyst Jassem Al-Mousawi demanded the government summon the Saudi ambassador with a protest memorandum and lodge complaints at the Security Council, the UN and the OIC, and legal expert Habib Al-Qarishi called for an expanded PMF law on the next parliamentary agenda. Both are invited voices, not factional statements; no AAH or Sadiqoun communiqué appears in the collected material, and no militia channel claims any Iraqi response to the strikes.
On the weapons file, Al-Ahad TV published eight items in roughly forty minutes around midday carrying Sadiqoun bloc head Oday Awad and MP Saqr Hassan al-Amshani saying legal and parliamentary procedures on the Popular Mobilization Forces law are complete, that more than 100 parliamentary signatures back it, and that it will be placed on the agenda of upcoming sessions, framed as a national and constitutional entitlement securing employment and retirement rights on a par with the armed forces. The procedural claims and the signature count rest solely on the bloc's own assertions on its own channel. No other tracked faction with coverage in the window — Kataib Hezbollah, Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Badr, Nujaba, Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina, Ansar Allah al-Awfiya — was observed on the law, though all posted on other subjects.
The Ceyhan export deal the militia channels relayed this morning as an unattributed line was confirmed outside them by afternoon: Iraq and Turkey signed a one-year agreement to move 750,000 barrels a day through the port, reported by AP, Rudaw, Al Jazeera and others with AP tying it to boosting exports during the Hormuz closures. Al-Ahad TV and iNEWS, a Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada-affiliated channel, both put out breaking cards within a minute of each other attributing the signature to al-Zaydi, but with different content — the AAH card carried the 750,000-barrel minimum, the KSS card only the signature and the route. None of the channels added a faction voice.
On the same commodity, Sabereen News, affiliated with Kataib Hezbollah, reported the Erbil refinery fire extinguished after an hour and a half on a field source's account, and in the same sentence called the refinery an illegal facility generating money for "the smuggler Masoud and his family". Ten minutes later that channel, Badr's official Al-Ghadeer TV and Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada's Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi carried a word-for-word identical line on the Ceyhan resumption. The fire item names no cause and no perpetrator; the divergence on the record is between Sabereen News's own editorial charge and the unvaried relay all three carried.
