On 22 October, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried Yazidi Cause Alliance bloc head Murad Ismail’s allegation that Nineveh Council’s opening of nominations for Sinjar district administrator violated the law and constitution. It also carried his claim that the alliance received twice the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s votes in Sinjar in the previous election despite having one MP.
