Six channels amplify Hizam al-Asad’s retaliation line

WHAT HAPPENED

Within three hours on 18 September, six of 33 watched Iraqi faction channels across KH, Badr Organization, Nujaba and Ashab al-Kahf networks amplified Ansar Allah political bureau member Hizam al-Asad’s statement that an alleged Saudi action in Sana’a “will not pass without a response.” Shabab al-Islam (Ashab al-Kahf — owned/non-official) described the alleged action as “Saudi-ISIS aggression,” while the other carriers reproduced the retaliation wording or identified Saudi Arabia as its subject. The underlying allegation concerned what a quoted post described as foiled criminal attempts in Sana’a by the “Saudi enemy” with an ISIS character.
