On 18 October, Sadiqoun MP Saqr al-Amshani (AAH), speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media), called on parliament to review the constitution at its earliest session. He said rights, freedoms and fundamental principles must remain non-negotiable and described the constitution as belonging to all Iraqis.

“The Sadiqoun bloc calls on parliament to review the constitution at the earliest parliamentary session. Rights, freedoms and fundamental principles must be upheld and are not open to bargaining. The constitution belongs to all Iraqis, and its provisions must be reviewed.”
