On 21 September, Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated), Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) and Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) reported that PMF forces stopped an ISIS infiltration attempt at Tharthar Lake or in Anbar and seized a boat and weapons. The KSS account said the infiltrators intended to attack PMF positions and fled after suffering losses, while the AAH account added that food was seized. Al-Nujaba TV attached an image showing armed men aboard a motorboat beneath a banner reading “7th River Brigade,” but the image does not establish its date, location or operational role.

Compared with the KSS and AAH captions, the Nujaba post supplies a formation lead that can be tested against a subsequent PMF or brigade statement. Until that attribution appears, the image narrows the inquiry without settling which unit conducted the interception.
