On 27 October, شفق نيوز reported that Sadiqoun bloc (AAH) sent parliament’s speaker a formal letter requesting clarification of the PMF bill’s status and the reasons for its delayed arrival. The report attributes to the letter a cabinet approval date of 29 September 2026 and says the bill had still not been presented to parliament by the letter’s date.

“On Tuesday, the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc asked parliament’s presidency to clarify the status of the PMF bill and the reasons for its delayed arrival at parliament, nearly four weeks after the Council of Ministers voted on it and decided to refer it to parliament.”
طالبت كتلة الصادقون النيابية، يوم الثلاثاء، رئاسة مجلس النواب ببيان مصير مشروع قانون الحشد الشعبي وأسباب تأخر وصوله إلى المجلس، بعد مضي قرابة أربعة أسابيع على تصويت مجلس الوزراء عليه، وقرار إحالته إلى البرلمان.
