AAH-aired MP demands emergency session over Saudi strikes

WHAT HAPPENED

Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) aired Wa'ad al-Qaddu of the parliamentary security and defence committee on 30 July saying "the blood of the martyrs of the Saudi aggression will have positive returns for Iraq", "either we are followers of al-Husayn or we are not", "we must endure for the sake of our dignity", "we will not send a summons to the Saudi ambassador for fear of hurting his feelings", and "we ask the speaker of parliament to hold the emergency session with al-Zaidi present", calling that session "necessary to protect sovereignty". No other tracked channel in the collected material carried a call for an emergency session.
