Badr and Nujaba media bury four "martyrs of Saudi-American aggression"

WHAT HAPPENED

At 18:25 on 31 July, Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) posted a report titled "a solemn funeral for the martyrs of the American-Saudi aggression… the crowds demand the preservation of sovereignty" (تشييع مهيب لشهداء العدوان الأمريكي السعودي.. الحشود تطالب بحفظ السيادة). Some 48 minutes later Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) reported that "a special aircraft transports the bodies of four martyrs as a result of the Saudi-American aggression from Baghdad to Nineveh" (طائرة خاصة تنقل جثامين أربعة شهداء جراء العدوان السعودي الامريكي), naming them as Hasan Sami, Ahmad Jashni Aziz, Muhammad Mardan Hasoud and Ali Hamid Zaynal; visual review of the attached image shows four portraits of men in keffiyehs and camouflage above a night scene of white-draped coffins being unloaded from a large cargo aircraft. Neither channel named a unit, a strike location, or a time for the incident that killed them, and neither announced any response; no outside coverage of the incident appears in the supplied material. Nujaba's channel led the funeral framing; Badr's channel supplied the names and the repatriation detail.

WHY IT MATTERS

Named, repatriated dead attributed to a named foreign state are the materials from which a claimed retaliation is normally justified, and both Badr and Nujaba media have now put those materials on the record without any claim of responsibility for a response.
