Between 09:58 and 10:22 this morning, Al-Ghadeer TV and Watan TV carried National Security Service spokesman Arshad al-Hakim's Arbaeen figures: a new centralised electronic-technical system linking operations rooms and field detachments, ten arrests on suspicion of affiliation with extremist movements, 55 field and electronic rumours monitored and handled, an electronic inventory of 16,000 processions with data on their staff and medical and food detachments in an updated central database, and seizures of 330 tonnes of non-compliant goods, over 17,000 irregular medicine packets and 42 vehicles. Al-Ghadeer ran the arrests-and-rumours line twice, at 09:58 and again at 10:22 paired with the seizures. The figures are the National Security Service's own; no independent line in the supplied evidence tests them.
