Al-Ahad TV, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official owned channel, posted late on 2 August that government spokesman Hayder al-Aboudi explained the reason for reshaping the office of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces as the continuation of dialogue with "the parties reserved about handing over weapons." The channel does not name those parties, give a timetable, or describe any enforcement step. The item rests on this single relay of the spokesman's remarks with no faction comment attached.
