Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) posted on the evening of 30 July that al-Yasiri said Khamis al-Khanjar "lined up" (اصطف) with the Saudi aggression against the Popular Mobilization Forces. Roughly twenty minutes later the same channel aired Ali al-Fatlawi of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition saying the Saudi narrative of the attack on the PMF is false, that Saudi Arabia struck "a place for the visitors of Imam Hussein", that "the Shia condition is at the peak of its strength" and "the reins must be in our hands", that "al-Khanjar and others are dealing by mixing the papers", and that Kuwait "is seizing oil wells in our lands". No other tracked channel in the collected window named al-Khanjar.
AAH is converting the Saudi strike into an argument about which Iraqi politicians are on the wrong side, and it is doing so alone among the tracked channels rather than as part of a joint bloc position.
