On 4 November, Iranian political analyst Ali Akbar Barzanouni, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media), attributed US electoral results and Washington’s retreat from resuming war to an Iranian victory, and said negotiations would take place on Iranian terms. The broadcast’s accompanying caption also attributed to him a claim that Iran had updated its American targets inside and outside the region, including internet cables in the Strait of Hormuz.
