Two Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) guests renewed pressure on PMF Chairman Faleh al-Fayyad to appear before parliament. A political analyst said Fayyad was not trusted with PMF personnel and must attend or face consequences; neither guest identified who carried out the alleged attack. A legal expert demanded compliance with parliament’s order and raised interrogation, retirement and legal measures, but no AAH or Sadiqoun decision followed.

On the weapons file, press reports said Iraqi officials were considering a postponement, weapons freezes and a PMC role as a disarmament deadline approached. Separate reporting placed that deadline on September 30, while another report said Washington had rejected factions’ proposal to freeze their weapons.

In the militia space, the desk counted surges on Iran across 13 of 34 watched channels in six networks since August 10.
