On 24 September, Sadiqoun MP Safaa al-Jabri, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), said his bloc had gathered 80 signatures to question the oil minister and that the minister and his senior staff had not answered technical questions. National Wisdom Movement member Sami al-Jizani, appearing on the same channel, also criticized the minister’s performance but called his objections nonpolitical. MP Abu Turab al-Tamimi, carried by Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated), said the minister had managed the economic crisis competently and selected deputy ministers and directors-general for competence and integrity.
