On 12 October, Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated/aligned media) published an account marked as circulating that alleged MP Sumaya Faisal Habib led a black-clad group in tinted vehicles into Basra airport with a security official. It alleged that the group intimidated staff, took confidential records and official documents, and printed an administrative order installing proposed airport director Ali Abdul Ridha Habib. The channel subsequently reported that Basra airport director Muntadhar Abdul Zahra filed a lawsuit against him over the incident and appointment order; both posts offered a right of reply.
