On 17 August, Sabereen News and Unit 10,000 — both KH-affiliated — posted near-identical captions presenting a handwritten document attributed to Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as published for the first time, responding to an Iraqi official's televised comments about strategic weapons in Iraq with the rhetorical line "Can you not commit a greater folly than this?" Visual review of the image shows red handwriting with the two lines refusing missile storage in Iraq and refusing Israeli strikes on Iraq, plus a signature, an emblem and a redacted section; the handwriting, authorship and date cannot be established from what was published, and the official is not named.

“We do not allow anyone to store missiles in Iraq, and we do not allow Israel to strike Iraq.”
لا نسمح لأحد بخزن الصواريخ في العراق ولا نسمح لإسرائيل بضرب العراق
KH-affiliated media is arguing about who may keep strategic weapons on Iraqi soil using the authority of a dead commander rather than a current leadership statement, which places the dispute inside Iraqi state arms policy rather than in the attack-claim space.
