PMF says 63rd Brigade repels ISIS assault at Tuz Khurmatu

WHAT HAPPENED

The PMF authority announced on Sunday morning that a force from its 63rd Brigade confronted an assault by ISIS elements on a point held by its commando battalion in the Marsa Ali mountain sector of Tuz Khurmatu district, east of Salah al-Din, and that the force engaged the attackers and forced them to flee into rugged areas without achieving their objectives. Badr Organization's Al-Ghadeer TV carried the one-line version at 06:08 and Nujaba's Al-Nujaba TV the full statement at 06:22. Two Iraqi outlets reported the confrontation within the following forty minutes; the rung stays at credible rather than higher because every account traces back to the PMF's own statement and no independent line on casualties or scale exists in the collected material.
