On August 25, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried Sadiqoun MP Ahmad Kain al-Khazali (Sadiqoun bloc — AAH) saying parliament would seek stronger procedural measures if PMF chairman Falah al-Fayyad remained absent from an investigation into an alleged failure to act on advance warning of a Saudi attack. Al-Khazali denied that Sadiqoun wanted the chairmanship, while Muayyad al-Azirjawi (State of Law Coalition) separately called for converting the parliamentary invitation into an interrogation and demanded enhanced salaries and land benefits for PMF personnel. The broadcasts establish the political pressure; they do not independently establish the warning or attack allegations.
