Late on 19 August, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) relayed a Gulf newspaper report, attributed to an Iraqi security official, that American representatives were present at and documented the handover of drones belonging to an armed faction at a site outside Baghdad. The channel appended its own line: "what a fine handover of weapons to the state, and what fine sovereignty." The faction, the drone systems and the receiving institution are not named, and the underlying newspaper report is not otherwise present in the collected material.

“Citing an Iraqi security official to a Gulf newspaper: American representatives attended the handover of drones belonging to an armed faction at a site outside Baghdad and documented the operation / What a fine handover of weapons to the state, and what fine sovereignty.”
The added sarcasm marks the alleged U.S. presence, rather than the surrender of the drones itself, as the point of attack — the ground on which the handover is contested is sovereignty, not disarmament.
