Militia media report formations moving toward Saudi border duty

WHAT HAPPENED

On the morning of 17 August, Sabereen News cited a source saying the East Salah al-Din Operations Command had been abolished and its formations transferred to the Jazira (Badiya) Operations Command, which would take on security duties including securing the Iraqi-Saudi border in coordination with the Border Forces; Shabab al-Islam carried the same text within minutes. Sabereen News then posted video captioned that the transfer from al-Musayyib had begun. The restructuring itself rests on an unnamed source in the militia channels, with no outside coverage supplied; the two carriages are the same text rather than independent lines, which is why this sits below a corroborated finding.

WATCH — WHAT WOULD MOVE THIS FILE

Iraqi security authorities confirming or denying the abolition of the East Salah al-Din Operations Command; identifiable unit designations or geolocatable landmarks in follow-on footage; any faction statement tying the new Jazira Operations Command role to Saudi Arabia; further movement posts from al-Musayyib within 72 hours — any of these moves this file.
