On 5 August 2026 at 18:56, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried Sadiqoun General Council member Ahmed Adnan saying his movement had "informed the people of the truth of Fayyad's knowledge of the targeting of the PMF": that Tom Barrack informed Prime Minister al-Zaydi of the date of the assault, that Abd al-Amir al-Shammari was present when al-Zaydi passed it to Faleh al-Fayyad, and that al-Fayyad's office only notified the PMF in Nineveh after the attack had occurred. Adnan demanded the government summon and hold al-Fayyad to account and parliament interrogate him, adding "the Sadiqoun position concerns blood; we do not want posts," and in a following segment said three days had passed with no denial. A guest in the same block called for the Saudi ambassador to be summoned and a protest note delivered.
