On 28 October, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) quoted National Approach bloc MP Susan al-Saad saying the PMF law would pass with a parliamentary majority, not just a Shia majority. In its preceding programme captions, the channel attributed to her claims that the bill’s delayed submission was deliberate and that internal and external actors wanted the PMF distributed among Interior, Defense and other security bodies.
