Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) this afternoon aired Sadiqoun (AAH) spokesman Mohammed al-Baldaoui saying the bloc had documents of major violations in the Foreign Ministry, naming adviser Wael Ghassan and ambassador Luqman al-Fayli, and that it had written the competent authorities to recover wasted funds and would raise further files. The same channel carried political analyst Mohammed al-Yasiri saying Baldaoui’s question on Fayli’s reappointment after 2016 was well placed, that one party holding the ministry without rotation is not logical, and that parliament should question or host the foreign minister over dual salaries and other breaches. A later Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) clip restated Baldaoui’s demand that those responsible for wasting public money inside the ministry be held accountable.

“We obtained documents and evidence revealing major violations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We will raise other files relating to the ministry. The files of Foreign Ministry adviser Wael Ghassan and ambassador Luqman al-Fayli constitute a major legal breach in the ministry. We wrote to the competent authorities to follow these files and recover the wasted funds.”
