KSS channels published, from around midday, that Abu Alaa al-Walai met protesting wounded PMF members, telephoned the prime minister — who was said to have affirmed commitment to their demands — pledged a representative committee, and condemned any assault on the protesters; some ninety minutes later KSS reported a further call to Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi, who was said to have pledged a solution and to receive a delegation. Within roughly fifteen minutes of the first KSS post, a PMF Commission clarification was carried by Al-Nujaba TV, Sabereen News and Al-Ghadeer TV stating the wounded had received their entitlements within the Commission's powers "almost in full", and that the sit-in before the General Retirement Directorate concerns a separate file — the amended Martyrs Foundation Law No. 57 of 2020 and cumulating pension with injury pay — outside its legal competence. Both lines are documented in the collected channels; the two accounts of who owns the grievance do not agree.
