On 3 September, Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) called three men “mujahideen” and said they received 15-year prison sentences after attacking a French base in Kirkuk during what it termed the Islamic Republic’s war with the American enemy. An attached image presented as a court ruling said each man was sentenced for firing Katyusha rockets at K1 on 13 March, with the rockets landing near an Iraqi counterterrorism battalion and a French coalition team.
