Militia networks contest Baghdad arrests across four factions

WHAT HAPPENED

Between 06:14 and 06:29 on August 24, KH-, KSS-, Nujaba- and Ashab al-Kahf-linked sources reported that Iraqi intelligence and counterterrorism forces had detained PMF personnel in Baghdad. The accounts agreed that PMF members were taken but varied over the number detained and described the action as an abduction, a provocation or a breach of a claimed procedure assigning PMF arrests to the PMF Security and Discipline Directorate.
