On 4 October, Abdul Qadir al-Karbala’i, Nujaba’s military deputy, demanded the immediate release of people detained after trampling American and Israeli flags and respect for their right to express their views. Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official owned media) published his position, which Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media), Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated/aligned media) and Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated/aligned media) subsequently carried. The KSS- and KH-affiliated captions reproduced the release demand and the anti-American and anti-Israeli slogans.

The common wording establishes media amplification of Nujaba’s challenge to the arrests, rather than independently issued KH and KSS positions. The explicit release demand distinguishes this intervention from the accompanying resistance slogans.
