Early on 14 September, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated/aligned media) claimed that Saudi oil facilities had been completely destroyed, then cited the Guardian as reporting that satellite images showed one pumping station on the Saudi strategic pipeline badly burned and heavily damaged. The Jerusalem Post identified the imagery as showing the East-West pipeline after the 11 September strike, while The New Region reported that three Iraqi faction commanders attributed the attack to a small network commanded by a senior IRGC officer and said three major factions operating under the Islamic Resistance in Iraq name were not involved.
