Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) reported on 2 September that the Hoquq parliamentary bloc directed questions to the oil minister concerning what it called Kuwait’s “ambitions” in the Al-Durra field; visual review showed a purported parliamentary letter addressed to the prime minister, but its authenticity was not independently established. Sabereen News (KH — affiliated media) separately attributed to Saud al-Saadi (KH — Hoquq MP) the claim that Hoquq had won its challenge to the Iraq–Kuwait Khawr Abdallah agreement, without identifying the court, judgment or legal effect.
