On 15 October, Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) announced that Hoquq bloc (KH — parliamentary bloc) would boycott parliament’s cabinet-completion session; Hoquq MP Miqdad al-Khafaji rejected additional ministries and government positions as a burden on the budget. MP Noor Adel separately criticized new ministries and deputy-prime-minister posts, citing more than 1,000 mud-built and prefabricated schools and calling for spending to prioritize school construction, hospital development, medicines and electronic government transactions. Her statement was reproduced by KH-affiliated channels, while Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official owned media) carried al-Khafaji’s rejection of additional posts.
