Within roughly forty minutes on the evening of 29 July, S Media (KSS — official social media channel) and Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) posted the identical caption "tears of parting and the pride of martyrdom.. the full scenes of the funeral of the martyrs" with the hashtag "we will not compromise" (#لن_نساوم); Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) published images of two coffins draped in the Iraqi flag in Najaf described as "two martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces who ascended following the American-Saudi aggression"; and Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) carried a Basra PMF operations command notice calling residents to the reception and burial of "the martyr Haydar Mansour al-Sukaini", stating he received "the medal of martyrdom following the brutal American-Saudi aggression" at a stated time and place near Basra airport. Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) ran live coverage from Nineveh and Salahaddin of damage described as "the field scene after the aggression", quoting al-Baldawi calling for "a brave response at the level of the aggression against Iraq, its sovereignty and the targeting of its sons".
Named burials with a stated cause of death establish, in the factions' own record, the specific losses on which their announced response rests; unnamed funerals leave the same grievance unauditable.
