Militia channels report drones striking Kuwait's Bubiyan Island

WHAT HAPPENED

At 14:51:33 Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) posted "دك جزيرة بوبيان بالمسيرات" ("Bubiyan Island pounded with drones"); fourteen seconds later Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) posted "مسيرات تستهدف جزيرة بوبيان" ("drones target Bubiyan Island"). Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) followed at 14:53:51 with "عاجل: هجوم يستهدف جزيرة بوبيان بالكويت" ("urgent: an attack targets Bubiyan Island in Kuwait"), and Shabab al-Islam (Ashab al-Kahf — owned/non-official) at 14:56:32 with "انفجارات تهز الكويت" ("explosions shake Kuwait"). None of the four names who conducted the strike, and no claim of responsibility under Islamic Resistance in Iraq, Saraya Awliya al-Dam, Ashab al-Kahf or any other brand appears in the collected material; there is no outside coverage of the event in hand, so the underlying event rests entirely on these four militia posts.

WHY IT MATTERS

An Iraqi militia media network moving in unison on a strike inside Kuwait, a Gulf state, is a departure in reported geography from this network's usual subject matter, and the naming of a perpetrator would determine whether this is an Iraqi operation or a relay.
