Between 08:30 and 08:58 on 3 September, five faction-linked outlets reported or published footage described as an attack on the PMF 16th Brigade headquarters in Altun Kupri, Kirkuk. Three reported one PMF fighter killed, with Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) identifying him as Ali Bahjat. None identified the attacker or carried a militia claim of responsibility; Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) separately alleged that incitement by media affiliated with Khamis al-Khanjar, whose role was not supplied, had begun to bear fruit.
