On August 27, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) said government language had moved from “confining” weapons to “organizing” them after a post attributed to KH official Abu Mujahid al-Asaf, whose conditions included Iraqi sovereignty and whose violent proverb Sabereen called a “final warning.” Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) subsequently stated that cooperation with any government over the “weapon of dignity” required organization rather than surrender. Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) and Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) carried Sabah al-Numan’s government language about restricting weapons to state hands without adding a faction endorsement.
