On 2 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried Mustafa al-Khafaji’s allegation that al-Zaydi warned Faleh al-Fayyad of an alleged Saudi strike on the PMF but Fayyad did not order an evacuation, resulting in deaths and injuries. Al-Khafaji also said Fayyad bore moral and legal responsibility for not appearing before parliament and that political divisions were affecting the casualty file; no other supplied source corroborates the strike, warning or casualties.
