Al-Ahad TV, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official channel, reported this evening on 9 August 2026 that the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc has started procedures to host the prime minister, the ministers of defence and foreign affairs and the security commanders over the strikes it describes as Saudi-American aggression, and that the bloc is moving to hold the aggressors accountable and secure redress for the Popular Mobilization Forces. The bloc separately framed the strikes as a breach of Iraqi sovereignty and an assault on the state itself. A Sadiqoun deputy said the first deputy speaker had directed the formation of a committee on whether the government had prior knowledge, and demanded the Saudi ambassador be summoned. All of this rests on Asaib Ahl al-Haq's own channel; nothing outside the militia channels in the collected window covers it.

The faction most able to act militarily is instead converting the strikes into leverage over the prime minister, the defence and foreign ministries and the Saudi embassy file, which is how the summons power and the fact-finding committee become instruments of a single bloc.
