FAA (Ansar Allah al-Awfiya — official social media channel) posted twice within five minutes early this morning on Ali al-Fatlawi, a leader in the movement. The first post read "his history is not forgotten… Ansar Allah al-Awfiya leader Ali al-Fatlawi comes down hard on Khamis al-Khanjar… criticising his statement after the Saudi aggression" (تاريخه لا ينسى… يحمل على خميس الخنجر بشدة… ينتقد بيانه بعد العدوان السعودي); the second, headlined "the Shia actor alone is subjugated" (الفاعل الشيعي وحده مقهور), had him point to the absence of denunciation of the Saudi aggression from "a part of the political system" and call on the Popular Mobilization Forces leadership to prosecute al-Khanjar (ويدعو قيادة الحشد مقاضاة الخنجر). No other tracked channel in the collected window carried al-Fatlawi's remarks or responded to them; Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official) aired a separate dispute over the same statement.
A faction asking the Popular Mobilization Forces command to prosecute a Sunni political leader over the wording of a statement puts the force's leadership in the position of arbitrating Iraqi political speech.
