FAA (Ansar Allah al-Awfiya — official social media channel) published a series of quotes from group leader Ali al-Fatlawi in the early hours of 17 August 2026, saying Jurf al-Nasr had been a dangerous flank for the Middle Euphrates and southern Baghdad, that the area once known as the "triangle of death" was liberated after "the blessed fatwa" by the security forces, the Popular Mobilization, the resistance factions and the tribes together, and that no participant's contribution can be denied. He said the group insists on the name "Jarf al-Nasr" and considers the current reopening of the file an early electoral bid for political purposes. Visual review of the attached video shows a talk-show studio with a chyron reading "the triple test: Jurf al-Sakhr, weapons and corruption" and a WATAN TV logo; the speakers are not identifiable from the frames and the audio was not assessed, so the attribution rests on the FAA caption alone.
