Late on 16 August, Watan TV, affiliated with the Badr Organization, and then Shabab al-Islam, Ashab al-Kahf's owned non-official outlet, each carried the same single sentence reporting that former MP Kazem al-Sayadi had been arrested on an extortion charge. Watan TV ran it as a studio strap over a broadcast still; Shabab al-Islam ran it as bare text. Neither post names a court, a judicial order or an arresting body, and no outside coverage of the arrest is in hand, which holds this at preponderance.

“🔸The arrest of former MP Kazem al-Sayadi on a charge of extortion”
🔸إلقاء القبض على النائب السابق كاظم الصيادي بتهمة الابتزاز
An identical text passing between outlets of two different factions shows shared uptake of a single upstream line rather than either faction's own reporting, and leaves the arrest of a former MP resting on wording neither channel sourced.
