On the afternoon of 10 August, the FAA channel (Ansar Allah al-Awfiya — official) published remarks by Ali al-Fatlawi saying the movement had not received its entitlement inside the Reconstruction and Development Coalition despite having more deputies than blocs that did, and that if forced to choose between a ministry and sovereignty — which he glossed in his own words as the weapons — it would choose sovereignty. He added that the movement does not seek to ruin Iraq or drag it into wars with neighbouring states, and said the position accords with the marjaiya's guidance prioritising sovereignty. This is a single statement on the movement's own channel; nothing else in the window addresses it.
