On 31 October, Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official owned media) carried economist Mustafa Akram Hantoush’s demand that Kurdistan receive no full budget share without closing unofficial crossings and implementing ASYCUDA. It also attributed to him a $4 billion annual revenue allegation concerning those crossings, opposition to external oil accounts, and a demand that the region deliver its gas share amid Iraq’s shortage.
