Between 11:15 and 11:20 on 6 August, Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) published five consecutive quotes from MP Hamid al-Mousawi. He called weapons centralization "a purely Iraqi sovereign decision" barring Saudi or other foreign involvement, said any implementation on 30 September should coincide with complete U.S. withdrawal by air, land and sea, demanded that law enforcement cover all armed groups outside state authority including Kurdish and Turkish groups in the Kurdistan Region "before targeting those who fought terrorism", said the foreign minister should have sent Riyadh a message of condemnation over the "sinful attack on Iraqi security sites" instead of involving external parties in an internal Iraqi matter, and stated that state sovereignty is not divisible and cannot stand with any weapon outside official institutions in any part of Iraq. The five posts are from a single official outlet quoting one named MP.
